Two colliding images give birth to a third entity which inherits its own properties, and provides a great inexhaustible psychological expanse. Riaz manipulates the common notions attached to the elements by changing their form, color, surface, and the connotations attached to them; he dislocates them from their roots to create a perceptional formal tension. Allowing them to negotiate between comfort and surprise. He rearranges the logical line of order and orchestrate perpetual chaos. Within these spatial planes one uncovers traces of self articulating forms and grids, which interplay juxtaposing masses of layers into a textural tonal gestalt, reflecting chaos and discipline as a coherence of life. His works allude a mature experience in tonality, painterly bravura and all encompassing fluid spontaneity.
