The work Elle creates flows out of impressions left by things she sees and feels that touch her deeply. Anything imaginable and unimaginable appears on each painting as she searches for beyond what is seen.
Nature and its infinite kaleidoscope of color and texture is her main source of inspiration. She’s drawn to the intricacies of a spider’s web as it reflects light. The iridescent, stained-glass transparency in butterflies wings mesmerizes her; as well as the shape of an unfurling bud.
She attempts to express the harmony, beauty and mystery of these wonders in the natural world to create a relationship between the painting and the viewer; one that is not only seen but also experienced. With each work she strives to make her mark in the evolution of the visual arts.
